After many years of working informally with Aquinas Education, the Education Service has now made a more formal agreement. Aquinas will promote our teaching vacancies and training courses across their wide social media. They will also sponsor many of our events, starting with Celebration of Service next month.

We are delighted to be working with Aquinas and hope that this new partnership will help to spread the word about all the great work going on in our Diocese to a much wider audience.

One of the key roles we recruit for in Catholic schools are obviously teachers. Teachers in Catholic schools are responsible for delivering high-quality education while infusing Catholic teachings and values into their lessons. They create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to grow academically, spiritually, and morally. Teachers often play an active role in fostering the religious formation of their students and promoting their overall well-being.

In addition to teaching positions, Catholic schools offer administrative and support roles. Head teachers, Deputy and Assistant Headteachers provide leadership and oversee the daily operations of the school, ensuring the implementation of the school's mission and policies. They collaborate with teachers, staff, parents, and the broader community to create a positive and effective learning environment.

Other administrative roles include Behaviour Mentors, Finance Managers, and Human Resources personnel. These positions are crucial for the smooth functioning of the school and support the various needs of students, families, and staff members.

Catholic schools also employ support staff such as librarians, technology specialists, maintenance staff, and catering staff. These individuals play an essential role in maintaining the school's infrastructure, providing resources for student learning, and ensuring the well-being and safety of the school community.

In most Catholic schools, there are also opportunities for individuals with specialised skills or interests, such as music teachers, art instructors, PE teachers, and extracurricular activity coordinators. These roles allow students to explore their talents and interests beyond the academic curriculum while instilling Catholic values and fostering character development.

Working in a Catholic school offers a unique environment where employees have the opportunity to integrate their faith into their work. The Diocese of Westminster also emphasise the importance of prayer, service, and community involvement, and employees are encouraged to be role models of Catholic values for their students.
