Position 
As a Secondary English Teacher, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students, helping them develop essential language and literary skills. Your responsibilities will include:
    •    Planning and delivering engaging and effective English lessons.
    •    Assessing and tracking student progress.
    •    Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
    •    Collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure student success.
    •    Participating in extracurricular activities and school events.
 
Brief Summary
Planning and delivery of English lessons to KS3 and KS4. Whilst delivering engaging and interactive lessons, you will also need to have good behaviour management and class control. You will then follow up with feedback to pupils, marking of work and attending parents’ evenings to provide parents/carers with the progress of pupils.
 
About the role: 
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
    •    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
    •    A degree in English or a related field.
    •    Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language.
    •    Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
    •    Dedication to fostering a positive learning environment.
    •    Commitment to continuous professional development.
