Job Description:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning process within the school. You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment for primary school students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and activities.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support to students who may require additional help.
  • Supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Helping with classroom management and behaviour support.
  • Preparing and organizing teaching materials and resources.
  • Providing feedback to teachers on student progress.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable.
  • A relevant qualification in education or childcare is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment.
