About the Role:

As a PE Teacher, your primary responsibilities will include: 

  • Delivering engaging and interactive PE lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Planning and preparing lessons that are both educational and enjoyable, fostering a love for physical activity.
  • Assessing and evaluating students' progress, providing constructive feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive and develop their physical skills.
  • Organizing extracurricular activities, sports events, and tournaments to enhance students' sportsmanship and teamwork.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure students' holistic development and well-being.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in physical education and integrating innovative teaching techniques into your lessons.  

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:   

  • A valid teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a specialism in Physical Education.
  • Passion for physical fitness and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and coaching.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students effectively.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to participate in physical activities and lead a healthy lifestyle.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
  • Knowledge of the UK curriculum and assessment processes related to PE.
  • Experience in teaching PE at the secondary school level is desirable but not essential.
