About the Role:
As a PE Teacher, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and interactive PE lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.
- Planning and preparing lessons that are both educational and enjoyable, fostering a love for physical activity.
- Assessing and evaluating students' progress, providing constructive feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive and develop their physical skills.
- Organizing extracurricular activities, sports events, and tournaments to enhance students' sportsmanship and teamwork.
- Collaborating with colleagues and parents to ensure students' holistic development and well-being.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in physical education and integrating innovative teaching techniques into your lessons.
Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A valid teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with a specialism in Physical Education.
- Passion for physical fitness and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching and coaching.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage students effectively.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to participate in physical activities and lead a healthy lifestyle.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
- Knowledge of the UK curriculum and assessment processes related to PE.
- Experience in teaching PE at the secondary school level is desirable but not essential.
