At Aquinas, we understand that our teachers, teaching assistants and support staff are the most vital link in what we do. It's this thinking that ensures we invest heavily in training for all of our team to equip them with the skills they need, to be able to make a real change and positive difference to pupils' lives.
Our investment starts from day one. From building the systems to allow simple, quick registration, through online DBS checks to listening closely to the teaching staff to make sure we match their skill set to job roles within schools that closely align with their own ethos.
Personal and career progression for all of our staff is also something we absolutely believe in. We offer free training for all our team to allow them to gain the additional skills they need to grow, develop and become the best they possibly can be.
Our most recent training programme is the Positive Behaviour Management training with Team Teach. This is available FREE to all of our registered teachers, assistants and support staff.
Team Teach is a provider of positive behavioural management training. They equip teams and individuals with the tools they need to transform challenging behaviours into positive outcomes in the classroom while reducing risk and the need for physical intervention.
All of our courses are delivered by experienced, knowledgeable trainers. They carefully consider the training needs of participants to ensure they can confidently put positive behaviour management strategies into action in their school.
It values the responsibility of teachers and support staff and the dignity of children. The aim to foster cultures of support, helping people recognise the needs of their colleagues in education, offer help where necessary, and be able to make use of support when offered.
The courses focus on de-escalation and communication strategies for dealing with challenging behaviour without physical intervention. They also cover positive handling training for schools and other education settings which minimise restraint and intrusive intervention.
The training will help our teaching staff respond in a way that is reasonable, proportionate and necessary.
At Aquinas, we believe that we provide the best teachers, teaching assistants and support staff for schools of any provider.
